Description
Old stuff!Done directly after watching the finale, because I wanted to redesign Aangs last outfit and it's fun to think about. For example: would Sokka be more comfortable as a warrior, or a scholar, or a swordmaster, a scientist, or a mix of all?
Or to make something both practical and elegant/rich for Toph.

I feel like Sokka would keep Swordsmanship as a hobby, and pursue science. And, Toph would most likely hate being in something like that, that is if she didn't grow out of being like that. Although, i could be completely wrong, really haven't watched Korra yet.

I think of all these, I like Zuko most. It's wonderful to see him so laid back and comfortable, and although he's in fancy official fire lord duds, it doesn't seem too stuffy. It's heartwarming to see how he's finally come into his own. The same goes for May - yes, she's still very regal and dignified, but she's lost her pout. Now her eyes radiate intelligence and fondness for Zuko. But she still remains a character of her own, not just the little wifey. Nailed it I'd say.
Aang is also great, so open and impish, but at the same time projecting quiet authority and confidence. I just love the Air nomad colors, they are so warm and positive. And I just love the look he's sharing with Zuko, two best buddies getting together. Aang probably was the leading influence in getting his stuffy friend to loosen up. He probably took him riding elephant koi, and penguin sledding, and to Omashu to ride the postal system. Can you believe the looks Katara and May will give them when they have to bail out the Fire Lord and the Avatar for busting up the cabbage merchant's cart? Almost makes me want to start writing fanfics.
Sokka is just divine here, I actually prefer him to his older representation in LoK. He's still a big nerd and a goofball, and he only has eyes for Suki. But I would also bet that along with all the fun there's a million brilliant ideas in that head of his, and tons of crazy awesome just waiting to be unleashed. And that's why I think it fits so well that he doesn't look the traditional badass - any problem he faces will probably not be attacked head on, but from an angle no one expected.
Suki, on the other hand, is the very image of the traditional warrior, and how well does she fill that! She looks powerful and refined, yet has a firm, practical stance that contrasts Sokka nicely. I like to think that her air of confidence is not least due to the knowledge that she can always rely on Sokka. Together they are the perfect team: the seasoned warrior and the brilliant but slightly crazy mind. I think I would rather take on the Avatar himself than those two.
And it is only because all of the above are done so brilliantly that I am able to find fault with Katara and Toph. Yes, they are gorgeous, fitting representations of their respective tribes, but I don't think they capture the essence of the characters very well. The problem with Katara's outfit, I think, is that corset-like thing (I don't know how to call it) around her midriff. I think it's much too dainty and elaborate for a character that is as grounded as Katara. Without it, her long flowing robes with the fur trim would be much more dignified, as befits what is probably the most sensible character (maybe tied with Suki) of the bunch. Yes, she definitely has her crazy moments, but those stand out only because she is usually levelheaded. Here she looks like she's artificially prettyfied, which is absolutely unnecessary, since she has so much natural grace.
With Toph I have a similar problem, she looks a bit too elaborate and girly. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not disputing Toph's femininity, but she just never struck me as a character that would go for frills. Sure, she might like to get dressed up once in a while (like the spa-episode), but underneath she's mostly about practicality (I feel). There is still a bit of that Toph-like confidence in her expression and her stance, but I'm missing that charming and refreshing bluntness.
Summing up what has become a surprisingly lengthy discussion: Your work is an artistic marvel, equal, if not surpassing the designs of the show. Only because 5/7 characters are absolutely stunning do the two that are 'merely' great stand out (and that's only because they contradict my personal interpretation of them). Thank you. I love looking at this, and I loved writing my thoughts about it.

I really LOVEEE Toph and Mai's clothing it really fits them and the colors are awesome. I feel bad that Suki didn't get something diffrent from her more usual clothing but everything is still wonderful D: I LOVE THIS

I have to say, I love Mai and Katara's the best. Mai's, because she really fits the title "Fire Lady" in that outfit and Katara... Well, she looks like a princess herself. ^^ But really, these are all AMAZING!
