Biography

Kousaku Hatake is a Shinobi who left Konohagakure at young age to begin his journey to every Villages and Lands to expand his curious mind. Kousaku may come from an ordinary clan with no Kekkei Genkai, but the urge to learn and improve was his unique trait to becoming a well-rounded Shinobi.

Accompanying him on his first departure was an old Tanto that has been passed on from his predeccessor, a plain Hatake scarf, some food and medical supplies. He made it through each day with the help of generous civilians he came across, as they would provide him food and shelter unconditionally. In return, because of his exceptional talent in medical ninjutsu, Kousaku would cure many ill and injured people from the villages he set his foot on. Although dealing with bandits and unwelcoming Shinobi were quite frequent, Kousaku unwaveringly remains on his track to his unknown destination. With great pre-caution and being aware of his limits in different circumstances, Kousaku learned to preserve his Chakra by utilizing his weapons and Taijutsu skills in combat. In crucial times, he adopted the fighting style which is strongly despised by most Shinobi, that he’d rather flee and accept defeat than receiving a noble death. This life of solitary has taught him most important thing: Survival. However, no hardship can topple his cheerful attitude.

His longest and most memorable visit was at the Howling Wolf Village (Rokoku no Sato), where he was able to enrich his knowledge in medical ninjutsu and soon enough, he was taught with the secret of the Wolf Sage Mode on Howling Wolf Mountain. This newly-acquired Senjutsu is still a huge challenge for him so he needs to maintain his practice every night, whilst traveling in daytime.

During the Fourth Shinobi War, he participated by protecting small villages from the White Zetsu troops and helped healing any injured Shinobi he could find. Kousaku also built an underground tunnel for evacuation that saved many lives from the blast of the Juubi’s Bijuudama. The war was settled and after so many years being away from home, Kousaku finally returned to Konoha upon hearing of his cousin being entitled Hokage. This occasion has become more meaningful when Kousaku is promoted to Jonin after completing the exam, thus, acquiring his new attire. Impressed by his adventurous accomplishments and silent contribution to the war, Kakashi the 6th Hokage nicknamed him the Silver Fang of Konoha.
