A little portrait I did just now while wathcing tv. I like how this turned out, even though it's more safe and realistic than I'd originally intended.Done freehand in Opencanvas. If you're interested in watching the eventfile and have Opencanvas, the .wpe is inside the .zip. The reference photo is one of model Adriana Lima from the cover of a Victoria's Secret catalog.
Sorry for the pixelly bits in the fullview.

This is one of my favorite of your portraits... it's very unassuming but it has a lot of attitude. The subject is totally believable not only as a physical person but also as a personality, which I think makes it extra-special...
I also like the slight asymetry of the composition - it adds to the whole attitude of the piece and her face.

So lush and rich.
The heart shaped face and the golden glow make her so beautiful. I love the look in her eyes, there is something behind that stare. The green of the background and the soft yellow of the flower add to the atmosphere. Your style is so loose here, making the layered brush strokes flow together.
The lighting is supreme.

I like the way this turned out too. Especially the sharp impression of her face in contrast to the backround enforces the strong focusation and creates a very direct look of her eyes. The reflections and the warm colour sheme gives it a kind of wet effect that's very impressing. Like the surface is covered with an invisible wrapping. Her lips are also very succeeded and in combination with her eyes they create a asking or thoughtful expression. What's a bit bad is the pupil of her left eye. It's bigger than the right one and doesn't fits to the size of her eye. The used painting style that's intended to look a bit this reduced, but still photo-realism way is always a beautiful thing for the eyes. So great piece again.

the colours are interesting and having watched oyu paint it, i find it quite unusual how much your style has changed. The colous are however rather broad so the image looks better as a smaller size.
