In Kirby's Dream Land 2 it's known as just "Dark Matter" while the same game referred to the more common floating ball form as "Real Dark Matter".

oh, well I guess it sorta depends on what it's gonna be for, though if it's for a Kirby music clip or something like that go for it. I'd feel pretty honored.

haha, I know right? I feel bad for other Kirby characters that don't get much appreciation yet they're awsome, all because of MEDDER NOIT.
This is a really awsome sketch x3

I do like Sword Matter.
He's so freaking hard to fight, though....

Yeah, DM's been in three games. His first was in KDL2, and then he was also in KDL3 and K64, which is why a lot of people think of those three games as the Dark Matter Trilogy.

Musetry In reply to jw174176 [2009-09-25 22:06:57 +0000 UTC]
oh. this "Trilogy" sure involves a lot of kirby working with allies in one way or another, the most common being riding on an animal's huge back. or the animal friends in particular.

jw174176 In reply to Musetry [2009-09-26 02:52:22 +0000 UTC]
Sorta, yeah. The Animal friends were in two of the games, but the ability mixing from K64 is a similar gameplay element to the animal friends without the extra animating the animal friends would have required.

yep, pretty much the same guys, just add the impossible bouncing, inability to fly with stone wings, and the fact only Rick and Nago turned out being the fully operational ones. although i never realized stone Rick and Nago could climb walls and multijump, respectivly, until i played KDL3. unique game, the sprites are like a child's drawing. and i always pictured bukiset as a bunny. (check the comments with his name mentioned. in the newwer deviations.)

Pitch was the best one of those, since he could get everywhere.
But I mean that the ability mixing system felt so much like the Animal friends system that it's kind of obviously a replacement for it.

Argh, I'd buy any Kirby game that includes this form of Dark Matter.
You're right--he needs more attention!
