(copied and pasted from my IG description ^^)I saw Marco Bucci do a challenge/exercise to paint with only value/greyscale and I decided to try it as well, so here is the result!

The colors are very interesting 🤔
I tried to stay in the same color range from teal to pink when choosing colors from the color wheel but I didn’t expect it to look like this (especially with a lot of what seems to be the bg color in the face still and the bright pink in the nose!) //ded-
There are definitely some parts of the face which are too bright 😔 I need to work on my values more even tho this whole exercise was based around that //ded-
Next time I’ll think I’ll try to be more random with my colors huhu instead of staying in a range bc I was a little nervous- looking forward to doing this again!
Also this took 1.5 hours even tho it was a 1 layer painting hmmm not worrying about colors makes it speedi-?

Personally I didn't find the brightness a bother. I think the overall coloring and shading more than makes up for it.
