the only problem with my plan though is that while i can draw explosions.... i can't colour them to my expectations v.v whyyyy hands whyyyyy. so i might just finish the background as it is now. and possibly in the future... when i get better i can replace it with a satisfying explosion.

lol. i remember a long time ago i wanted to have an explosion in one of my images but didn't know where to start. i got my inspiration from one of my fave classics games, metal slug. heres an image of their explosions [link] i liked their style, very simple and clean. hope this at least give you a starting point. don't give up!

oh! i was planning on originally making an explosion on the rooftop. so it seems he's popping out more.
