I think the background works well. Nice and simple and doesn't detract from the main focus -- Sailor Jupiter. Nice work!
By the way, when you use Promarkers, which side do you find yourself using the most?

With Promarkers I usually use the pointy side, 'cause I rarely have to cover large areas. The other reason for rarely using the wide nib is that I'd have to use it on the whole area I want to colour, because it usually proves to be a bit darker than the same marker's fine nib and it shows as stains on the final picture if I use them both :/
For example here I've used the fine nib to colour her shirt, as it had all those lighting details I wanted to do, but I've used the wide nib for her trousers, as it was a simple area to cover ^^

I have no idea, probably depends on how intensely you use them... I've had my "oldest" set for over a year now and they're still perfectly fine, but I didn't use them too often. On the other hand, I've tried using my "sky blue" promarker recently, but it appeared to have dried, even though I don't remember using it that much
