I'M A DAY EARLY, I KNOW, I'M SORRY BUT I COULDN'T WAIT ANY LONGER TO POST THIS PLUS I'LL PROBABLY BE OUT/BUSY A LOT OF TOMORROW SO I WASN'T SURE IF I WOULD BE ABLE TO POST IT TOMORROW BUT HERE YOU GO AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH/////My first actual G/T Picture here ;3; Also the picture I lost a few followers on instagram for pfftt losers
But people probably already guessed I would have done this with with my gentle giant Sai and I don't really use him much outside of the RP I have with Ice-Cove27 so I included her OC Alec I think they both need a hug with everything going down in the rp right now
But this was my first time doing a full drawing of/with Sai and I'm so happy I finally have because I freaking love this big guy and I'm really happy with how he turned out as well as Alec ;w; Admittedly Sai is somewhat bigger than this naturally but he can change his size, and this was the best I could do for now with it being my first G/T Drawing/// You can also see more clearly that I gave him bluey eyes now instead of just grey because I think the small amount of colour helps his eyes stand out nicely against the rest of his colour scheme~
Also... Trying to use my own stock (aka setting a timer on my laptop and getting into the pose I wanted because I couldn't find anything useful :'D ) was more than a little interesting in set up... and when trying to draw it considering Sai is a lot more toned and has a different body shape than I do considering he's a dude and I'm not xD
I'm also finally putting his dorsal fin into the right place on his back :')
BUT ANYWAY YES ENOUGH RAMBLING I'M JUST EXCITED TO UPLOAD THIS FINALLY AFTER ALMOST TWO WEEKS OF IT BEING COMPLETED, HAPPY early HUG A GANT DAY 2016~

This is soooo awesome! I love it!! (Trying to respond quickly, since there is a storm and power might go out) BUT I'm so honored you chose them as your first G/t picture~ alec looks cool in your style and I love Sai's face! The way you shaped it, something is just really nice, maybe its just the simple designs, since i love designs. Also the way you draw eyes is just...well, eye pleasing for lack of a better non-pun word.

Haha they were the obvious choice to be honest since they've been so far my longest running G/T RP and I adore their story still ;w; I'm glad you like how Alec's face turned out and thanks again - I usually fail at side portraits but I was really happy with how Sai's turned out and I love markings and though his are a bit awkwardly positioned in places they're simple to draw once you figure it out so I can understand haha~ The eye style is also fairly newish but it's my current favourite so I'm glad other people appreciate it too

I love their story. And im glad we continued it (this week i havent been around a lot for rping with my usual partners). You did really good with both of them! I'm not good at drawing people traditionally. And it takes a long time for me~ I quite like your style.

You're not the only one~ (I guessed you had been busy or something so don't worry about it~ ) Thanks! Ahaha see I'm the opposite with you there, I can't draw very well digitally XD I used to use a mouse and MS paint when I first getting more into drawing and I tried out a graphics tablet but I think the main thing that was off with me using that was that I had to look at a screen while my hand was elsewhere xD So traditional has been my medium for about 5+ years or so now~ thank you so much, it means a lot to hear stuff like that ;w;

Haha I cant stand using a mouse to draw. It feels too unnatural and weird. XD and i get you about the drawing tablets, i like to see exactly what im doing and where i am on the screen, but the ilad had some pretty poor quality drawing apps unless you pay ample for it or just get good with thats offered. I only mostly do markers for traditional drawings. Sharpies and such, for designs. :3

Yeah especially now since I only work on my laptop, I doubt I could do anything much useful now haha XD ah fair enough, I knew the Ipad had some art resources but didn't know what they were like but what you've said makes sense.
Ooh nice ^^ I did try markers too at one point since I tried using copica but again didn't really like the feel xD pencils were the most accessible thing I had to hand so started practicing a lot more with them and looking more pencil tutorials and traditional artists for how they used colours and shading and just went and practices from there. As well as investing in some decent quality colouring pencils too xD I know it's a more underrated medium and I'm somewhat limited on what I can actually do but it's still my personal favourite to use :3

and yeah, i get that. I actually just love markers for the smooth easy colors. I like coor because shading isn't very easy for me to do with pencil. And thats really cool, do you ever use colored pencils? I like those too.

Ah yeah fair enough, that makes sense ^^ shading can usually be the most difficult part with most things with any medium but especially one you don't feel as comfortable with xD yeah, unless you mean a specific kind of colouring pencil that's what I said I use in my other comment XD I only ever use colouring pencils now, that's what this was coloured with ^-^

Yeah, shading with any marker is a little challenging if you have limited colors, unless black goes with your style. And ooh, i dont know why i thought of just regular drawing pencils like charcoal or graphite. XD okay now i know

Ahah I'm glad you think so! It was interesting trying this and I really wish I was a digital artist at times so I could zoom on things... but I think I made it work, that's why Sai's smaller than he normally is :'D

Oh i think you did a great job with this. And i know that feeling. Sometimes it makes it hard to add details to the tiny without zoom.
And i guess that means you technically submitted your picture on time if it's only a few hours away.

I'm really glad you think so ;3; Haha yeah, I was going to try and make the sizes more accurate to how they normally are but I didn't think I'd be able to which is why I downsized Sai a little xD But as I said in the description he already has the ability to do that so it's not like this isn't completely wrong :')
Well I uploaded this around 2PM and it's now 8PM so it wasn't too early but kind of early enough :') I look forward to seeing everyone elses as well xP
