Admit it. I would make an awesome Disney princess.My old cartoon self-portrait looks nothing like me, so I thought I'd redo it. This one resembles me much more closely. It also serves as a nice deviantID, and as a good college email photo. (What? They let you upload anything!)
What do you think? What do you imagine the plot of a "Princess Luna Rose" movie would look like? And what would role would you have in the movie?

I like your style better. Frozen had really awkward eyelashes. They kind of looked like caterpillars. There were just too many of them. The coloring in this is very nice. I like all the blues and the contrast very nicely with the yellow. Also the nose looks very three-dimensional, great work!

Yeah, the eyelashes in Frozen bugged me a little bit. From a distance, they look nice (kind of like theater makeup), but they looked wrong from close up. Besides, I dislike the idea of suggesting that one type of beauty is "correct," and that all girls should have prominent eyelashes.

Disney definitely lacks body type differences, both in largeness, curvy-ness and skin tones if you ask me. It makes the films seem less realistic, because our every-day society looks very different and that's a good thing! They really could do a better job when designing charcaters. I mean princess and the frog got that down (the best friend was curvy for example) but Frozen? Quite a step back...Β

I would be the mage/bard, whose abilities and advice on morality and ethical dilemmas are impressive, but is regrettably forgetful and easily distracted.

I'm not sure what the setting would be. I love computers, so the modern era would be tempting, but it seems like Disney princesses have to be in the past. So, I'll take any time period with awesome castles. Hopefully someplace with a strong economy, too, for the well-being of my subjects. (A princess' duty is to her people! Gotta give those subjects the best opportunities to live happy lives.)

No matter what, she'll probably have more character than that Odette chick. It's not a Disney movie, but it tried to be, and it was awful!

Really? My sister has seen it, but I haven't watched it since I was really little. (From the glimpses I've seen over her shoulder, though, it looked pretty patriarchal and bland.)

It was. Really, it wasn't exactly a smart movie. If you've seen the Disney animated/live action film, "Enchanted," it's the kind of movie the beginning is making fun of.

Helpful Princess who writes a classic fairy tale and before she finishes it she gets kidnapped and follows the plot of her story but the part with her being saved wasn't created and she ends up getting saved by the people she has helped! My role is the annoyingly adorable girl who constantly needs help from the princess.

This is too cute! Hmm, it would probably be about a princess who keeps it real by helping others with their art and writing. My role? The hermit artist in the faraway window in one of the scenes? XD
