Description
This is one of two new plushmaid OCs that I got recently! He has the 'comet' fancy trait. I designed him to be the partner of my other recent OC Ryuuhei Fumi: which is why I gave him a somewhat similar colour scheme and patterns. mist-miyuki.deviantart.com/art…

Name: Des Mekhilua but Fumi nicknamed him Mekhi.
Height: About 55cm from ears to tail but about 120 cm including the length of the ribbons
Material: He is primarily made out of Rayon fabric which is smooth and soft, with ribbon and light metal on the bows and tips. The yellow areas such as the ribbon on his tail, his waist and his cheeks, plus his fingers and the inside of his ears are made of silk which are prime petting spots (to his chagrin) because they feel so nice.
Personality over time:
Not always honest with his feelings. He will complain a lot because of his pampered nature but is much more happy about his situation then he lets on.
Doesn't like working hard for things or being uncomfortable at first, but because of Fumi he is less bothered by working hard in everyday life than before.
Will express outwardly more genuine happiness and excitement about his partner and their adventure as time goes on.
As opposed to complaining a lot, he becomes more 'take no shit' in his philosophy.

Story so far...

After he was brought to life by the magical being who created all plushmaids, he was able to go wherever he wanted to. However, he didn't have anywhere he particularly wanted to go, and didn't really like the harsh nature of most places anyway. The industrial areas were filled with too many people, the rain forests were moist but had too many predators and bugs. All he knew was that he didn't want to be alone, but he was too prideful to admit that out loud. He spent many years wandering lands near water until he had the courage to move away towards different places. Eventually he ended up in a desert, to his dismay. It may have been more quiet with less living creatures around every corner but it was also hot and ultimately lonely. Des thought he would never find somewhere he could be happy and so he spent many years in that desert. He dealt with the lack of water and his loneliness and treated it like a punishment he had to endure.

As he wasted away he was eventually found by the student Ryuuhei Fumi, who travelled around his land to explore and study magic. Fumi was entranced by this magical species he had never seen before and insisted that they travelled together so he could learn more about how Des worked. Des at first agreed only because he lost the will to choose anything for himself and decided to go with the flow. However, over time he learnt more about Fumi, about his village and family in the desert, about his species and a fenerheart's unique lantern and fire. Des eventually decided to be partners when Fumi gave him a crystal to be kept close to his chest to match the one he had himself as a token of their friendship. At that moment he realised he didn't want to lose the friend he now had (although he won't admit that easily), and continues to help Fumi travel and study the world of magic.

Fumi and Mekhi's dynamic
Des is nicknamed Mekhi by Fumi so he basically has no choice, this is his life now >: )

Plushmaid's love water and hate fire because they are made out of material, which is a great mix with a fenerheart who uses FIRE MAGIC and has a FIRE TAIL who lives in the DESERT
Fumi can be very playful and carefree with boundless energy craving for adventure and knowledge. This starkly contrasts Mekhi's initial outlook on life when they met and leaves him eternally annoyed when avoiding Fumi's reckless fire magic and clinging tightly to Fumi's robes as he bounds across the desert to different towns.
At the very least this has made Mekhi very industrious and he knows how to deal with Fumi when he's being a shit. It's helped him gain an enjoyment of life he didn't have before and has made him less pampered.
Fumi loves cuddling and petting Mekhi's silk even when it's sweltering so Mekhi will normally tell him off. He won't admit he actually finds it very comforting but Fumi understands people well and knows he doesn't make Mekhi legitimately upset.
When it's very sunny out, Mekhi will curl up under Fumi's hood around his neck.
Fumi made a nickname out of Mekhi's last name so they matched, as Fumi perfers to go by his last name as well instead of by Ryuuhei.
Mekhi doesn't wear his silver crown often in the desert because the metal gets too hot so Fumi bought him a bandanna He loves it
