Hey, it's a comic page!
I did this comic page as a guest comic type thing for Bittersweet Candy Bowl. is having a little guest comic contest type thing. This be my entry.
I wanted to do something kind of funny before but I changed my mind. I had this image pop into my head. I know I draw way too much of Mike and Lucy...but I love those two ;_;
Maybe I'll draw some other characters some time. Either way I like drama and I really want them to fix their problems.
Not too much to say about it though...took a while. I like and don't like it *shrug*
Whatever. It's almost more of a complicated piece of art than an actual comic page though which worries me. Whatever.

I can understand what you mean. I love those two also but currently they're just being ridiculous. Mike needs to calm down and deal with the problem better but Lucy needs to grow a backbone and actually confront him.

Well, actually, I don't put Lucy on the spot as much as I do Mike. I mean, from what I can tell from the ONE COMIC that featured Sandy, she's discouraged by having the long distance relationship with Mike. She isn't very enthusiastic (or, not AS enthusiastic) as Mike is when she calls him, and there's just something about the way the artist (can't remember her name...) draws her during the convos that says "I'm frustrated". I like Sandy as a character, but...I don't know. I wouldn't be so "meh" to MikexSandy, if Sandy showed up more often. We barely know anything about her...!
As for Lucy, she already grew a backbone; she's already told Mike that she loves him. But Mike refused. The only thing I hold over her is to stop getting so close to Paulo, and for Paulo to keep his hands off XD;; Which may or may not happen, considering the artist for BCB is for PauloxLucy.
However, she does admit that it can't happen because Paulo's kind of a perv...but hey, she's the one that comes up with content XD
And no problem! I also loves your art of Daisy and Abbey. Freakin love Abbey

Oh yeah exactly. I noticed that right away on that one Sandy chapter too. She seemed awfully...blugh. To be honest as bad as I'd feel for Mike, I almost wish she'd just break up with him. I tend to support Mike more in a way though cause I mean, he's really in love with Sandy, but he wasn't with Lucy. I mean what did she expect him to do right? Just break up with the girl he loves to be with her? I dunno *shrug*. I mean Lucy did admit her feelings to him and all but then she didn't handle it very well. Mike just wanted to move on from it (obviously) and Lucy couldn't seem to do that.
Yeah true true. She seems to lean much more towards those two. She already did that weird daydream comic for Paulo and her though. I think that's enough. It'd be kinda...weird if they ended up together honestly.
But yeah it's up to the artist. Her comic *shrug*

Exactly! Now, I dunno about a breakup; that would be one hard blow for Mike. But hey, Lucy and Mike are in this play, and PRESUMABLY, it ends with a kissing scene (why else would Sue force Lucy into it? XD;
And actually, now that I think of it, Lucy is more or less the reason Mike is with Sandy right now. I mean, at the beginning of the comic, he obviously had feeling for Lucy, and when he started to get the letters from Sandy again, he went to Lucy, and she said go for it. And...well, time passes, things change, and then Lucy loves Mike, while Mike's already in a "relationship". And they both handled the situation terribly, IMO. They need to rethink and Mike need to make a freakin decision on who he wants to be with, cause I don't think he truly knows yet...And even if he did, Sandy still sounded unenthusiastic.
And actually, I've been snooping around some of Taeshi's deviations and I've been reading her comments, and It seems that even though she loves PauloxLucy, she admits that it will never happen. Mostly because Paulo drives Lucy insane, and Lucy is too complicated for Paulo. She says this on the description of the last page of Ch. 48 in the comic. Yes, I'm psycho-analyst; sue me
So, with that said, it all kinda falls on Mike, eh?
And Abbey is just a character I can relate to so much; he's a very loving and nice guy, but he has a major dark side he rarely shows. It's interesting, and it makes him a cool character.

In a way yes. That and she refused him years before when he tried to kiss her (according that flashback). She's really the reason they aren't together. Which is why I feel bad for Lucy too.
Oh yeah, he seems a bit confused but all in all it seems like he's just trying to ignore the problem. That's a common thing to do. Just forget about it.

Very true. Most of the characters I can relate to in some way or another so that's probably why I'm so drawn to the comic.

I really like how you did the comic style. I'm working on that Pokeventure comic and I cannoooottt get the layout right...it's so difficult to do correctly. So I admire the way you make this look

I saw you posting art and I was like: "huh. Looks good." so I read it all in like three days...stayed up until 4 AM one night finishing it xD I haven't gotten proper rest since, to be honest, but that's ok. I DON'T NEED SLEEP. :I

To be honest, I side with both Mike and Lucy in that situation. I like Mike, I think he's a nice guy, he's just getting sick of everything she puts him through after years and years. Of course I think he could handle it better still.
I dunno, it's pretty hard to make me hate a character unless they're like Katie...who was pointless XD ;
