Description Ive had this "feel" in mind for years. Finally found the right sky and scene to express it best.
Just because.

For some reason this character reminds me of James Christensen's work: mysterious, whimsical, features of realism yet fantastical. Hard to explain. The bird is a great touch and a real charmer. I like it very much.

thank you very much Eri.
Comparisons to James Christensen will get you bikkies.!
My Sister introduced me to his work a couple of years ago, because she says she knew Id feel like "tribe" with him.
Im 50 now, but when I was young my work looked very much like that, and Im only recently returning to follow my bliss.

It's difficult to categorize the feeling this gives, that must be what I like about it. Very dreamlike.

Cheers Liam. Thats the thing Im chasing, the lightmosphere. Ive over-lit it a bit from where it was looking just right, (but ya get that ,hey).
Ill leave it alone now though before I lose any more moodiness in it.

Thanks Trish. Someone asked me if it was because of the Sunbird that nested here, and I think maybe theyre right.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

misterclutterfutt In reply to AlisonAilfinnAllan [2010-07-09 07:29:44 +0000 UTC]

well kinda. I saw the film version years ago. It was a pretty cheap movie but with some interesting choreography by Bob Fossey and some strange characters by Zero Mostel.
But the thing I remember is the sand dune scenes, and how the overload of light colour made everything strangely generic.
