Description My second visit to the ossuary of Kutnรก Hora (Czech Republic), an extraordinary place that shows the remains of 40,000 victims of the medieval plague and wars.

Once again we made a short trip through the home country of my Czech students.

Thanks for the !

I can really believe so. Man, I wish I would have the honor to see the bone room for real. And had you seen the chandelier inside there as well?

No worries! ;D

I took almost a hundred pics during my two visits, but uploaded only the best ones. Those from the chandelier didn't turn out that well. The light conditions were rather difficult, therefore I had some focus probs.

Owww, completely understanding. Dang lighting ... and yet I wonder how in the world could a chandelier that is made of every human bone existing even hang that high. That`s some serious weight the ceiling needs to endure.

You're quite right. Btw, the ossuary's homepage is fairly interesting, too: [link] And you can see a nice photo of that chandelier.

I agree with you. Making art of human remains seems to be both weird and fascinating.

Thanks for the s again!

For sure! There are only 9 ossuaries in the whole of Europe, and that one at Kutnรก Hora is the nearest from my place in Germany.

Thanks! I do agree. One of the strangest places I've ever been to. And I was happy to see it again last week.
