Woo-hoo, I haven't tried the 'fake screenshot' thing for years, had much fun with this one
So, earlier I already mentioned Ghost Boy , the fan novel which made me a Turbotard. It's been quite some time since I stumbled upon it, and I've read many more Turbo fics to this point, yet I still adore it as much as I did then. xD Because really, there are very few works of fanfiction which may have a strong impression on me, and GB succeeded in that. I would never thought you could make a good guy and a protagonist out of Turbo, but heck, it was so convincing! And at the same time, he's still pretty much a jerk (at least he starts as such), and his actions as KC, though explained, are not excused right away, which I appreciate very much. Not to mention that I'm a sucker for the 'Jekyll & Hyde' type of stories, with hero suffering from his evil alter ego's actions and trying to protect others from it, so this fanfic was a true feast for me. :Р
The moment on the pic is from chapter 10 and shows Turbo and Vanellope's painful conversation, when Turbo is about to found out the big ugly truth about his past. Uh-oh, gonna be a hard experience for both of them ;_; my poor babiiieees

Not exactly, it is about him losing his memories about all the bad things he did and basically regenerating as his old self (he's still a jerk at first, though). But yeah, in some sense, it's about Turbo becoming good. (: And it's named "Ghost boy" because by that fic's canon, back in the old days Turbo was called this nickname by literally everyone in the arcade, because of his ghost-like appearance.

I still can't decide which one of those 2 fics I love more %) They both are awesome, although quite different from each other, and the authors of IOP and GB are friends (:
It's a rare thing when I like a fic about villain redemption, in most of them it's described so unlikely, like, Turbo regenerating and suddenly deciding he doesn't want to be evil, and everyone ready to forgive him immediately, and the authors tend to woobify him and excuse every evil deed of his... Just what the hell, it doesn't happen this way .__.

Yes, I'm all about villains and redemption, although, I will warn I write spanking fics, so they may not be of interest for you.
The Turbo fic I've written has two chapters so far (none with spanking in them though LOL!) It centers with the twins coming back into the scene, and well, you'd just have to read it to see what you think

I agree with you though, I can't stand that kind of slapped together crap where fanfic writers don't take into account what relationships the characters actually have with each other let alone how they would react in certain situations. I find making a situation feel canon to be the best parts to write honestly

Yeah, but they were friends even before Wreck-it Ralph, and before they started to write for WiR, they RPed a lot, so some things in IOP/Ghost Boy are similar, like Twins in both fics are called Jet and Set
You're right about Turbo fans being a 'rare species' :< But still his fandom is not as small as I feared it would be, and Twins have their fair share of attention, too

Me too, in the rare times when I write fics, I always try to make everything as close to canon as possible c: So the majority of those redeemed!Turbo fics is crap to me...also those where Vanellope falls in love with him, just wth O.o

Yes, I did notice that similarity with the twins. It is cool that they were friends before hand, and they likely chatted about their stories as they were writing them

Yeah, those fics I just skip over entirely. I'm really picky when it comes to fanfic, and overall rarely read it because I don't have much free time these days (two young children, work, and school leaves little time for me time...

I was literally mind-blown the first time I looked for Turbo fanart, I had no idea people loved Turbo/KC/Candybug so much c: And Twins, although they had even less of screentime, 2 seconds or sorta xD

Yay! Glad to hear you liked it! I need to get back to it at some point. I plan on having the twins go to the castle to fess up to Vanelope, and of course all will be on the look out for a fleeing Turbo *giggle* He's going to have to face the havoc he wrought eventually
