Description This is the vector coloured page three of those sketches I made! If you wanna read the story, get your lazy ass into the gallery and READ IT!

Ya know, what, you won't will you . .. so here's the link. You lazy little bum!

The one I chose I learned from my dear

And it goes like this, via his tellings to me:

"The Red Ribbon

To begin with, I do not remember the origins of this story other than the
fact that it was read to me as a child from a book of scary stories for
children. There are many variations of this story and the color of the
Ribbon. The story I remember was as follows:

We'll call the girl, Jennifer. Her lover will be called Daniel.

Ever since he was a little boy, Daniel had always had a crush on Jennifer.
As little children the two of them would always play together. They were
very fond of each other. What proved to be most curious about Jennifer was
that always wore a rose-red ribbon wrapped around her neck. Daniel would
sometimes ask her why she always wore it and why she didn't take it off. It
was a secret she told him. She seemed a bit uncomfortable whenever the
subject was brought up, so Daniel decided to leave it alone.

The two of them grew up to be young adults and eventually they were married.
The beautiful red ribbon was still fastened tightly around her Jennifer's
neck as she walked down the isle in her white wedding dress.

People gossiped as they tend to do about this peculiarity, but people
eventually grew accustomed to it.

The two of them lived together in a house of their own and led a happy life.
Somewhere at the back of his mind, however, Daniel would always wonder about
the ribbon.

The two of them grew old together. Jennifer's heath began to deteriorate.
The doctor told informed Daniel of the grave news. She was dying.

Daniel sat faithfully besides his wife as she lay dying in bed. Jennifer
looked at her husband and whispered in soft, weak voice to finally remove
the ribbon.

Tears in his eyes, he carefully untied the ribbon and pulled it loose.

Jennifer's head fell off.

There are numerous variations of this story. In one version, the couples are
young adults when they first meet, instead of having a long-time child
relationship. The father of the girl is sometimes shown as being very
protective.

The idea may be that the girl had been executed via beheading, and that her
father had been able to save her by fastening her head back to her body. The
belief then was that the person might be able to be saved if somehow the
head was reattached quickly enough to the body. After all, eyes have been
reported to have moved and mouths opened and closed after heads from the
condemned had been severed via guillotine.

The ribbon color has been mentioned as blue, green, and red. Red sounds most
appropriate though since it is symbolic of blood."

The wardrobe is incredibly well designed. As I said before, the use of colors enhance the fairy tale-like feel to picture. The way you draw the hair and eyes of your characters dazzles as always. Funny enough, I happen to really like the bubbly brides maid in the background. I wish I was that creative.
