Description
This is my entry for Sega's fan art contest for Sonic & the Black Knight. Entrants were instructed to draw a picture of their favorite scene from previous Sonic games, for Sega to feature in Sonic and the Black Knight (for Wii) in a Sonic history section.

(Unfortunately, on the front page all they said was to keep your dimensions 8.5"x11", for digital and traditional art. Turns out in the fine print, digital art submissions were not to surpass 640x480 @_@ So I had to shrink this thing a LOT to turn it in D: )

Anyhow, the pictures depicts Super/Hyper Sonic and Super/Hyper Knuckles defeating Robotnik's final robot form and Hyper Mecha Sonic. They didn't do it at the exact same time like this in the game, nor was Knuckles in space, but hey, it's a cool effect I think that I incorporated into the picture, that sums up the ending quite well

All in all I think it turned out very well, better than I think most things turn out. The only things I weren't able to add in time for the contest deadline were colored lineart (coloring the actual lines on Sonic and Knuckles) and sparkles coming out along with the light trails. The .psd was already over 50MB though, and becoming hard to navigate in Photoshop @_@
