Im crying bc im so late sdjkfsdkjf will hopefully shade when I can but heres my blind lace amaranto! She freezes to death in the snow after a particularly harsh blizzard, and she dies only seeing the snow white of everything and bright purple crocuses that stick out. Her last moments are bitter, and she wonders how these flowers could survive yet she could not.

Story:

She was freezing. Her hair stuck to her clothes and skin, frozen. Every breath felt like needles being shoved into her chest. She squeezed her eyes shut, forcing her frozen feet to move. She couldn't feel anything. It was just cold. Cold, cold, cold. She couldn't see anything either; had the world always been so white? Finally, she collapsed into the snow, like a puppet who's string had been cut-- and the coldness sunk into her even more. She was sinking, but she didn't want to resist.

She blinked, trying to clear her vision of white flakes that had stuck to her lashes. There was something against the whiteness of the snow, and for a moment, she couldn't breathe. It was a purple flower. A purple flower that was still alive and thriving even though she herself had fallen.

She could only stare at the small flowers, and felt bitterness well up into her chest. The flowers would survive, yet she would... die?

She felt heavy. Her lashes were heavy. Her eyes fluttered closed.

(They didn't open again.)
