Ashura is the antagonist of RG Veda but he also made an appearance in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.I love Ashura's gentleness in this picture. :3

Ashura in Rg-Veda is genderless, but leaning more towards male, in Tsubasa Chronicles he is a male, due to not being a God (Till he dies) and not having his same background as he did in Rg-Veda.
Also, Ashura is not the protagonist of Rg-Veda but the antagonist (At least the elder version of him is.)
Sorry to sound iffy and annoying, but I can't stand it when people say Ashura is a woman, when it/he is not.

It is alright, lots of people make the same mistakes, I've come across countless pictures of people claiming Ashura to be woman and saying (The elder) one is a good guy.
Would a protagonist of a series run around killing everything and everyone for no good reason besides the fact that he can and wants to?
So, it be alright, at least you know now.
