So I was browsing random tutorials and came across a Vaporeon one. So, I couldn't help but try out some new things I learned.For some reason, I can't stray far from my cool colored schemes... Just don't feel right I suppose.

Well, I know you and really love your art, so you're gonna be my first ever critique lol ^-^
First off, I'd like to compliment you on the colors you used. The blues, purples, and reds contrast very nicely, and really fade nicely into one another. However, I know that you meant to make Vaporean all blurry, but the bright colors on Vaporean don't really meld well with the soft, fuzzy feel of the background. Also, I think the colors on Vaporean itself don't blend together very well. For example, it looks like the red suddenly turns into blue, and doesn't really look like a shadow. Instead, it appears to be that "one point" on the picture that everyone looks at first, which it shouldn't 'cause it's supposed to be a shadow. But, all in all, I really love this picture. The background is beautiful, and the soft feel of the whole picture is quite nice. I am also a huge fan of the Eeveelutions hehe, and of your art!

lol Thank you very much for that assessment! Its true, there's a lack of fade in many areas, and in some ways it makes the picture almost dissonant, which in the musical world, can be hard on the ears (Or in this case the eyes!) I'll have to look at that particular part again to see what you're talking about but all in all I think you're assessment was very well said.

I'll start with vision- Seeing how vaporeon is a water type pokemon but giving it a different kind of background is almost mind-boggling; gives it a change-up. 5.
Originality- there is over a billion vaporeon pieces. 3.5
Technique- I like how you drew it blurred, giving that fuzz effect, yet defining it in a different way. I's vague, but clear at the same time. 4.5
Impact- It is a beautiful painting that everyone, including myself, can recognize. It shows a sense of personality and creativity. A well ddone piece. 5.

I love the vibrant colors. they are BEAUTIFUL. Vaporeon looks like it is in a room full of pink and blue flashlights. EVERYWHERE.

I just ADORE the pretty colors. I also like the shinyness of Vaporeon wet skin. I think that this is just a beatiful piece of art and it should be faved by every single person with a deviantART account.
