Kenji Himura, Kenshin and Kaoru's son, as he appeared in the Rurouni Kenshin OVA Seisouhen (Reflections).The personality is slightly different however. The Kenji I tried doodling here isn't the daddy-issues one of the OVAs, but the one Watsuki described in the last 'Secret Life of Characters' of the manga:
"Later, Kenji reveals his thoroughbred bloodline. Even without seeing it, he masters Hiten Mitsurugi-ryuu moves just from hearing about them. His personality becomes a bit twisted, as common with many geniuses, becoming more cynical than Saito and more ego-centric than Shishio."
I just love that Kenshin's son would turn out the complete opposite of him, and wanted to do something with the idea... but all I can manage for now are half-baked brat sketches of him. Maybe I'll come up with something eventually.

I've been wondering if I'd ever get a good look at Kenji (I've pretty much vowed I will never watch Seisouhen, since I don't want to watch Kenshin die, or see Hiko become a decrepit old man..... > _ <;;;; ) and a lot of the screenshots I have seen of him have either been too dark to get a good idea of the color scheme, or were too small to start with!

I've only watched it once I think, but I've seen some scenes again since (like the Kenji vs Yahiko fight). But gawd that OVA... 
... At least the music was awesome! 8D
Kenji actually wears two different tops - the first one is navy blue (which I prefer), and the second one is like this. I sorta forgot the blue one existed though, which is why he's wearing the other here... d'oh. XD Oh well.

The OVA messed up Kenshin and Kenji's relationship, as in there was none. I believe they have a contentious relationship as Kenji gets older and rejects katsujinken and his father's pacifism. Why he would even want the Sakabatou at all is beyond me, yet Watsuki did say he would battle with Shinya for it. Perhaps just because it's supposed to be his legacy, even if he would never use it.

He was only in the last chapter or so. But the author left an awesome concept there for us at least in his profile write-up. 8D

i never got that far in the anime⦠only because i watched it when i was like 8 yrs old on Adult Swim

I much prefer the manga over the anime, but the second anime arc was masterful! *w* The music was amazing and the animation finally picked up the pace! It helped that it was extremely faithful to the manga, which the rest of the anime was not... .___. Sigh.
The OVAs were good too, but man oh man were they depressing. Oh well.
