Thanks Duck! This was a fun piece and was fun to re-create as well. I have actually put off doing this for about three months now. Firstly, my Tendonitis flaired up real bad and initially THAT was my excuse to not do it...but then that got better and all of a sudden I really had no reason to NOT finish it...so I did. But found that I actually enjoyed it once I got rolling. I even improved some aspects of it from the original.

Hmmmm, That's an idea. I could see them in "Hot Topic", or similar store. Perhaps I should look into that.

I like "Veridia" (which also sounds like a rich girl's name, if it isn't a color). Perhaps she could be a spoiled debutante who looks sad that she didn't get the exact pony she wanted, but she's so beautiful you want to cheer her up anyway (even if she's pouting over a pony). But I digress...I like the shape and the flow of the hair. The eyes look cool too. I think people are making the Van Gogh association because the white reflection off the eyelids and the white bubble glint in the eye at the bottom give her the slightly stoned look, but I didn't take note of it until I read the other reviews and thought "now why did they say that?" Again, very cool. Makes me want to focus on heads for awhile.

I like the name too! It's perfect. It sounds Victorian and of course it makes reference to the color "veridian" (forgive my spelling of this), I see the Bleak Girls like creepy Charles Addams characters, or Mark Ryden's paintings of sad little girls. I admit it! I'm trying to ride on someone elses coat tails! I don't mind the Van Gogh comments at all! BUt it makes me sad when people make some sort of drug addict remark. That isn't at all my intention. Even if someone said:"She looks like a young Lizzie Bordon," that I can see!

Oh dear! That wasn't my intention. She's just supposed to be sad, gloomy, Lovecraftian, but not an addict.

hehe, well she does look sad, but my eyes looked like that one day after I'd been working with thinners and other chemical in a poorly ventilated room.

Oh I see! You weren't necessarly suggesting that she was an addict, just haveing worked around toxic chemicals all day. I myself find myself in such an environment frequently. I have to work with acetone, paint thinners, naptha, alcohol. It's fun.
