I must agree with the leg/torso not interacting thingie. And also, that position for swinging an axe seems just awkvard. From there it would take to much time and he's losing his guard. So.. from an martial arts point of view that is not a good pose. Pretty nice outfit though.

This guy has a great look for this type of image. One thing though, and I'm not trying to be a putz or anything...in the shots where he's swinging the ax his legs don't seem to be conveying what the rest of the body is doing. I would think a wider stance with perhaps more leg action would work better.
