Description
I'm still alive!
This was inspired by the story of Tomoe Gozen, the wife of a 12th century Japanese general. She would often don on armor and fight in battle alongside her husband.
Colored pencils and ink on Bristol, 11x14". Original sold, prints available.

Last night I didn't have much time to comment, but now I do, I had to put this amongst my favourites. Its absolutely gorgeous. I am horrible with colours, but you simply blow me away. The background is actually referenced (partially) from a medieval Chinese tapestry. I love putting "real life" elements into my pieces. Glad you like!
