Name: Takei Kai-Ming (or just Kai). (Takei is pronounced Tay-key)

Gang: Jinhai

Bending Technique:
Water Whip (+Range)

Personality: In 5 words Kai is honest, loyal, intense, loving, and stubborn.

Their Past: Though she never discusses it Kai-Ming comes from a very effluent but very political family. She was raised to be the “perfect” wife as her father felt the only way she’d ever be useful to him was for her to be married off to a rich young politician who could inherit the family’s wealth and prestige (her father was of the tradition that women were useless except for pumping out children).
When Kai turned 18 her father received a letter from JingDou nobleman who wanted her hand in marriage, of course that would come with a steep dowry (all of Kai’s inheritance and nearly half the family’s fortune) but her father figuring it was the only option that would ever come along (no other suitor had ever stayed interested in Kai) agreed and shipped Kai and dowry off to JingDou. There was no such nobleman, only an intricate set up with Kai’s cousin. The two spilt the dowry and parted ways leaving Kai alone in the city.
Not long after arriving in JingDou Kai met Luili, and intrigued by the chance to hone her skills and a place to maybe actually be useful or even wanted, Kai joined Jinhai.

Their Present: During the past three years not much happened with Kai aside from keeping a low profile to not draw her families attention. But she did train up and has started to expand her old abilities and learn new ones. She's lost a bit of her "elegance" in that time as well though she still keeps well mannered. She was initially unhappy with the idea of two guys taking over for Luili but has gotten used to the idea though she greatly prefers Quinn's funness to Amal's lack of funness.

Their Future: Kai wants to continue on training and ultimately become a master of her bending. Once that is done she would like to step up as a teacher within the Jinhai and retire from having to do missions so she can focus on teaching (and bailing out those who royally screw up their own missions).

Other notes: Kai has her inheritance banked off under a pseudonym and freely uses what's there to help out Jinhai whenever it needs commodities.
