I feel really good about this piece. I had wanted to do another mermaid since it has been a while and I have been really picky about models lately just because not many are jumping out at me inspiration wise… But then I looked at the model I used in this one, which I have seen countless times but passed it over since I don’t use a lot of nudes. I stared at her for a bit before I thought she would make a stunning mermaid. I put a bit more effort into this than I have done in a while, used some new techniques and old, and I am at the point where I look at it and can’t decide if I want to add certain things or leave it as is, which means the latter happened.
