Description Commentator asked for an image of Pinkie's rimshot from Baby Cakes. After looking around and failing to find one, I made this. (And then, I found this , naturally.)

And that face isn't an attempt at "Cupcakes." She really did look that crazy in the reference screenshot!

Feel free to use wherever you like.

I hope you don't mind, but I see quite a few things that aren't quite right with it. Hope I don't bore you to death. (excuse the black background, I only had paint on hand):

Errors (marked green):
There are holes in the fill of the forelock near the tip and on the highest fluff;
The tip of the forelock's fill angle doesn't really match the stroke angle;
Two holes in the first fluff of the crest;
The forelock stroke behind the ear doesn't match with the stroke of the first crest fluff;
The long line in the crest lacks one of the sharp points;
There's a really weird-looking stroke between the first and second crest fluffs;
The long line in the tail goes outside the tail on the low part;
There's also a hole in the fill of the first tail fluff;
A bit of the fill goes outside the lines on her right leg(our left);
Both leg stroke ends are visible at the hock, between the legs;
The drum's blue trim at the top doesn't line up with the reddish body on the left side;
This is REALLY a nitpick but the top face of the drum is wider than the sides, you can see it at the edge(I circled the right side);
There's a gap where the strokes of both hooves and the stomach intersect;
Her elbow(actually not sure how that's called for horses) has some weird stroke consistency issue;
Same as above on her mouth stroke;
A bit of the muzzle fill goes outside the lines and over the teeth;
The nostril is shaped oddly, it should be like an even looking crescent;
The higher part of the eye outline shouldn't end with a round cap;
The eyelashes really have some consistency issues on the width;
There's a bit of random white next to her fourth eyelash from the top;

Inconsistencies (marked yellow):
You have some weird line consistency in some parts. The top two "3"s in Pinkie's forelock and the tail line have an even width but the ones in the crest get very thin near the ends.
The strokes on her forelegs start getting thinner a bit too early. They should be getting thinner closer to the end like you did on the legs.
There are some other parts where the lines aren't very consistent. I marked some of the more obvious ones.

She's also missing her iris accents but I'll pass that off on account of not knowing the original screengrab.

Wow, that's a lot, I really hope it doesn't discourage you. It might seem like a lot of errors, but they're all easily fixable, and the vector really looks great otherwise!

I want to start by saying that I know you offered this list as a way to improve the image and that, as a member of the MLP Vector Group, you have very high standards for this style of art. I've made some changes and hopefully improvements based on your list and guide.

But I also need to vent because this whole thing has pretty much blown up in my face. I am not a vector artist, and I had no delusions that this would be my finest work. That's why I threw it in my scrapbook. I did it as a gesture to another DA member who commented on my latest comic. Turns out that all he really needed was a screenshot with text . I feel rather silly, since I thought "plz" was internet slang for "please."

I also live in Colorado, and I've frequented the movie theater where that shooting occurred. I only spent an hour or so on this, but it gave me something to focus on. My mistake was putting this online, because anything on the net is subject to a high level of scrutiny. That should be expected.

So, while I appreciate the feedback and have decided to leave the image up, this one attempt has a bitter taste of wasted effort. I think I will stick to comics and leave the vector art to people who are more passionate about that genre.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice it was in scraps and sort of went a bit overboard. Silly me and my obsession for details. D: Yyeeah, really sorry bro, you can just ignore it in that case, your venting is completely justified.

Nah, no worries. Your feedback did make the piece look better, and I appreciate that.

Plus, I learned more about how people create vectors. Never a bad thing.
