Whew! This one took many hours to complete. Like 8-10 hours. The reason is because thie image is completely digital...I scanned in the pencil linteart and traced and colored in photoshop.

Alright, this is my second official entry into pearleden's [link] and kankankanka's [link] elements contest. It is the god of wind. I hope they like it!

Name: Aeolis
God of: Wind and lightning
Appearance: Mix of a dragon and a wolf

Description: Aeolis is the dragon/wolf god of wind and lightning. It carries clouds on its back, and the color of the clouds is reflective of his mood (dark clouds= angry, light clouds= content). Because of his mixed heritage, Aeolis is also the god of lightning, and these are symbolized by the rings around his forearms and the golden color of his neck feathers and claws. Aeolis is distinguishable by his compass tattoo, which is on his left thigh, and by his mask. The mask was placed over his face when he was born to contain his overwhelming power. The kanji seal reads "kamikaze", or "divine wind". None have ever seen Aeolis' true face, because removing the mask would bring on the end of the world.

~Just a little side note: Aeolis' name is an allusion to the Greek god of wind Aeolus.
