I got the inspiration for this fromAfter I started watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic back in December 2011, I noticed some similarities between this show and Shining Time Station. For one thing, both the main characters are smart and use magic.
Thatβs why I believe that Twilight Sparkle is the Mr. Conductor of 2010.

I imagine Twilight as Ringo Starr. Rainbow Dash would be George, because Ashleigh Ball voices more characters in MLP than Tara Strong.

Oh yeah. The only differences I can note are what species they are, the gender and the fact that Mr C tells his lesions through Thomas stories and Twilight doesn't.

If you've heard of Shining Time Station, you'd know of one of the characters, Mr. Conductor. In my opinion, Twilight from MLPFIM reminded me of Mr. Conductor for a number of reasons. Despite the fact that they're different genders/species, both are smart, use magic, and offer good advice to younger folk (i.e. The Cutie Mark Crusaders/the kids at Shining Time).

Yeah. Plus, Twilight is sort of a guidance figure to the CMC, like how Mr. Conductor is to Dan, Kara and Becky.
