Last one from this shoot. This lacked something in colour, but I somehow like it in B&W. Not sure if I'll move it to scraps later though.Converted to B&W via the calculations method + blue tone in PS.

(The title is indeed a little tribute to Dirty Dancing.
Can you believe that I went to see it in the cinema for 12 times or something at the time. Remember when Patrick Shwizzle was leaving after being sacked. Saying goodbye to Baby, while he sang this himself in the background. Oh how my little teenage heart ached...

Dirty Dancing left an indelible imprint on so many of us "average looking" girls. Baby gave us hope that we too would find a handsome Johnny Castle to love us.

i don't know how the color version looked, the the black and white (and blue) works very well here. halfway between looking like an underwater picture and a classic glamour portrait. you're lucky to have such a good model (and photographer) so close by and willing to pose for you.

Absolutely beautiful. I love the soft lighting & yet still the define of the lips being glossy.

I like the lighting in this image, the errie glowing lighting works perfectly, and the black lips contrast beautifully aginst the white of the skin and teeth and the hair has a lovly fluid motion about it. The only problem I have with it is the ear rings, I do not think that the suite the image at all and the one on the left hand side is distracting.

I love this, it's beautiful. It definitely feels windswept, I love the angle. I really like how her hair flows upwards off of her face and how her lashes are upswept and her eyes are just glowing. I can hear the song playing.
The one thing I'm not too keen on is the lips - very dark and sequined. I sort of focus on her lips and start to lose the lovely breathy feeling of the rest of the shot. The B&W works pretty well. I wish there was a bit more soft light on the hair, so you could see a little more detail in it - I love hair. A soft sepia hue would have worked as well.

really nice, i like the colours and the tones but maybe you could cut the sequins on the lips so that you still get the sequin sparkley goodness but you have the straight lines that are found in the rest of the piece (did that make any sense?)
