Chapter 1

Story:
The loud clatter of the railway motivated Missy to gallop even faster to keep up with that noisy monster. Suddenly a craggy voice tried to drown the sound the horses' hooves produced. "STOP THE TRAIN! I SAID STOP THAT TRAIN". The mare cocked her ears and fell into a trot as Elsa asked her to slow down. The monster squealed and Missy hopped a few steps in safety. Many other horse tried to bolt away. Finally the railway came to a standstill and the mare stopped on a dime to watch the men opening the box cars. The light inside them shed light on the surroundings. The horse inspected the other horses and their human friends. Some men and women started to load their horses and stuff.

Now it was Elsa's turn to move her horse into one of the box cars, she felt certain that this would be done in less than a minute. Missy was known as a thought and fearless horse. But somehow she did not want to enter the box and ogled the ramp warily. Elsa tried to convince her that everything is fine inside and in conclusion the mare hopped in. Someone closed the door, it rumbled, it rumbled a second time. One of the wooden laths that has been part of the ramp had been fallen off. Elsa smiled at Missy. "You are such a clever horse!".
The girl opened the door and told the man who closed the door a few seconds ago that they do not want to sleep in a draughty, brittle room because they are ladies! She expected a condescending comment and prepared her inner self for a cold and uncomfortable night but to her amazement the guy grinned at her and started immediately to help her repair it. "Sure I am going to fix your 'air vent' promptly, Miss...?" "Miss Elsbeth. Thank you!"

Elsa yawned and huddled up to her already sleeping mare. So far the Old West showed itself at it's best. She felt ready to start this adventure and she was sure Missy was feeling the same!
