Hello! As you can see, I am not a MLP-centric artist, but I felt like drawing the Mane 6 as seen in the upcoming G4.5 cartoon.
I love the style and I am excited for it because it reminds me of Unikitty!, which is a really fun and hilarious cartoon to watch. If Pony Life has a similar tone, I'm sure it'll be a great time. I have also posted this drawing to Twitter.
I feel a bit nervous uploading other art when I have other things people are waiting for, e.g. the Gacha Adopts, but I need to work on other things sometimes so that I don't burn out. I hope this doesn't make anybody mad ;w;

At least your art of the character's looks normal. why did they pick an inappropriate song for the commercial? And the characters look like they have been spending way too much time at sugar cube corner. Why is that sugary induced place the center of the series? It's giving me those teen titans go vibes. Hope they keep away from the stupid fart jokes. And they do nor fry their personalities as Nickelodem did with Tmnt 2012 Best turtle series ever, to a Reboot where the characters are out of whack. Splinter wise neat and tidy, new splinter lazy and a slob. Horrible.

Unikitty? I didn't even think of that. For me, when I saw the art and read the synopsis, I was immediately reminded of Teen Titans Go.ย ย Ugh! Still, I'm willing to give Pony Life a try. If anything, the new character designs do look cute.

For me, it is not that it is a new art style which is bothering me.ย I've had friends point out its the similarities to Teen Titans Go! style.ย While not inherently bad, the speculative reasoning for going for this kind of style makes me cautiously optimistic at best and skeptic at worst.ย This style they are going with is cheaper to produce and animate which, again while not bad by default, makes me worry a little bit about the overall quality for several aspects other than visual.ย The premise also sounds odd at best.ย But the last time I had my doubts about the show, I was proven wrong and became a fan as a result.ย I submit that if the same writers are still a part of this "mini-series," it will still have the wit and intelligent writing we had before (maybe not the same as Faust's or Larsen's vision, however).ย Remember also that this is Hasbro we are dealing with, we should expect some corporate meddling.ย ย Time will tell if Pony Lifeย will prove itself.ย I'll keep an eye out.
As for the piece before us, I enjoy the softer cell-shading and the lighter line weight as compared to the original style presented to us in the trailer.ย I would personally go with these tweaks to the style.ย But heaven forbid I have an opinion!ย Thanks for contributing and I look forward to great works from the fandom.ย Hopefully the "mini-series" is good too!

I'll give this a chance. I'm always open to watch g4 ponies done and animated in completely different art styles! Besides, I'm sure a lot of us have also gotten used to the movie's art style as well, even though it felt strange at first. It did grew on me eventually, and I'm sure this new one will too! ^_^
