Description A visual breakdown to the Kyoto Flowers: [link]

Instead of spending a lot of time trying to get a perfect render. Its much easier to adjust the tones, lightning and the visual look you want in post. By rendering in seperate layers, I can manually fit each layer just how I want it!

It would be nice if you can make a very short tutorial of how it works to render the different layers. Espicially which layers you render seperate to adjust them afterwards.

Ahh, how cool! I will never understand rendering...it's like a foreign language to me Dx ^^"

Heh, one of the bigger points of compositing - the more layers, the finer control. Nice work. I must admit, however, I'm not used to seeing an additional beauty pass for a darker value set. Generally I've been using the single final gather as my beauty, and using ID mattes to fine tune it as such. How are you applying the second in addition to?

Sorry for the late reply, and Im glad you asked! It was not intended to have two different beauty layers. My light beauty render/texture was my original one. After a meeting with my customer; they would like to see a deeper red type of flower. So I made a new render/texture which I just called Dark. One of them was of course sufficient enough for comping, but because I was curious to see what I could do with two beauty renders, I spendt a few hours after work and played around a bit with them and ended happily up with the one you see

Heh, I'm the last one to complain about late replies. Looks like a happy accident to me. I'll keep that in mind for future projects - again, great job!

Nope! The light setting is the same! If you dont mind, I just had another person asking the same, so I'll copy paste what I wrote there, ok?
