Another great capture of a morning dove, I love the way the feathers are ruffled along it's back and how it seems to be looking right at the camera.

Thanks, again I was lucky - the one shot worked because there was no second chance. It was looking at the camera. I missed a shot today just not fast enough

Very nice is that a Collared Dove? it looks identical to our apart from the dark flecks in the wings. these are one of the most intimate and affectionate
birds i photograph, in fact im after tham at the moment, they do a wonderfull flying dance together.

Thank you - I believe it is called a Mourning Dove - that and the rock dove, also known as a pigeon, are all we have around here.
I look forward to seeing the flying dance.

Mourning Dove, Nice name Well i had better pull my finger out becurse its obvious to me its
part of a pairing up ritual and once they get to nest stage i doubt i'll see it again.

They might be like some and only do it once on the first courtship then never again - I forget which bird does that. I just read about it...

Aren't they cute?
The past 2 Sunday mornings, I happened to see one outside my window.

Yes they are cute but around here usually very shy. This one was trying that blending in thing they do - but it didn't quite work. LOL
