Description
Randy winced at the sound of the squalling child he could hear crying off in the distance. He called the little girl "Red" for having red hair, red freckles, always wore red, and always had a red nose, eyes and cheeks from crying all the time. She was the daughter of his parent's friends and he'd known her for most of his life. His parents even have a picture of him holding her as a new born when he was three, and in the picture she was crying then too.

It didn't help that his hearing was far more acute than normal people. Oh no, thanks to being born into a lycan-based family he could hear her blubbering wails from the other side of the school yard. And there was nothing else on the planet that got under his skin more than hearing her cry.

At first he would tell her to shut up or ignore her, but that only made her cry louder. It got so bad that Randy would do bad things to get grounded just so he couldn't leave the house and avoid running into her when his parents visited. But then her family moved next door, and he soon found there was no escaping her. It didn't help that she followed him around like a puppy everywhere he went. She was always asking him stupid questions and wanting to hold his hand. If he refused to let her go with him, then she only started crying again! So finally, Randy decided the only way to keep her from crying and maintain his sanity was to put a stop to whatever got her upset. Unfortunately, this meant he had to spend a lot of his free time hanging out with her. Tea parties, shopping, buying extra ice cream cones because she's a klutz, and watching stupid cartoons on the tv. He hated every second of it! Well, maybe not every second -- the cartoons were kinda cool, and she let him watch wrestling sometimes, as long as they didn't get too rough. But in the end, it was worth doing stupid girly stuff just for the peace and quiet!

Much to his horror, that year she started going to school with him. Fortunately she made a lot of friends fast and they kept her company. But being a crybaby only makes you a target to be teased by the bullies and it didn't take long before the two biggest jerks in the grade above her started to pick on her. Randy caught them in the act one day before lunch period and told them to "back off" or he'd have to rearrange their faces. Apparently they didn't get the message back then because today, while sitting through another boring day of algebra, Randy heard that ear-piercing sound of Red crying on the playground.

Randy made up some excuse about having diarrhea and sprinted out of class and ran out to the school yard. There he found Red huddled on the ground and balling her eyes out as the two little punks laughed and ripped apart her plushie toy. Randy clenched his fists and snarled. His blood pumped loudly in his ear drums, making his already aching head ring.

"Do you little f**kers have a death wish?" he growled. Ignoring the tingling sensation that danced across his skin, he stepped out onto the playground towards Red. She immediately jumped up and ran to his side, clinging to Randy's arm for security. She didn't have to say what happened, it was already obvious.

Randy then outstretched his arm and flexed his hand as the joints popped and cracked in a gut wrenching fashion as his body began to grow and morph into a more bestial form. The two boy's eyes widened as his skin took on a gray pallor and became furry like, as Red puts it, one of those fuzzy stickers. His nails quickly began lengthening to sharp claws. His eyes were now blood red, and his spiky hair grew past his shoulders and down his back.

"Either give it back now," grinned Randy. "Or you boys will know what a disemboweling feels like."

So, I didn't a random generator thing and the two words that came up were "protector" and "wolf". So I sketched out a figure and it soon took on a life of it's own. This is Randolph (Randy) and Red (har har). Just two characters and a little backstory that I came up with. I hope you enjoy it.
