Description
Someone asked me if Hani was proud of Gai in the recent chapters…Proud? Yes.
Angry? Very.
I always try to draw Hani looking all pretty, so it was interesting drawing her in such a sad state.

Honestly I don't think I'll ever get over how much I love how you draw Gai. You just add something so...I don't know. It's in Kishi's style to an extent but there's also something you bring that's just unique to you and I love it. It's like you bring something extra out of the character. Also I love seeing Hani with a more extreme emotion to. It's different for her character and it's really interesting to see how much her expressions can range. If I had any critique at all, it might be her hand on Gai's chest. The placement is perfect, but with her pinky slightly raising up it just feels a bit stiff and tense as opposed to her holding onto him. But even that's just a tiny thing and could just be me. I really love this picture and your work!

I have felt that until recently, I was never able to really draw hani expressing much emotion. I was always so concerned with her looking pretty, but I've learned since then how to push the style and "make it work". Perhaps it's her full lips? Most anime characters with full lips almost always have the same stoic, or serious emotion (Armstrong from FMA as an example), so it was hard for me to get an idea of how it would look appropriately.

I really, really love how you draw. I'm not half bad in it, but I've been rusty and I still have issues with hands and feet. Hopefully I'll overcome and flow on the pages before I'm 25.

It's a shame, since pre-time skip Neji had probably the most character development out of the side characters. And then he just gets killed. Poor Neji. Then again, considering Naruto's new god-mode powers, maybe it'll be post-Pain again and all the good guys who died come back to life. I will give Kishi props on Gai not dying though, I was totally expecting him to be killed on in a blaze of glory. But then Jesus Naruto happened.

Thankfully Naruto got his 11th-hour power up and managed to keep Gai from kacking it.

N-no.. not this. Anything. B. But this. I didn't want to think about in any shape or form, and seeing how well done Hani's devastation looks, especially against what still is graceful in regards to her appearance and I think you really do need to look again to notice how undone she has become. That's something I really like--the idea that she still has her beauty about her and then you get to her face. It really is heartbreaking.
This will haunt me for the rest of the day--thanks a lot, Seestor!

And thank you for the feedback. I really wanted to draw something with the two of them after the recent chapters. I think Hani would be in a really terrible state seeing someone who she thinks to be almost invulnerable to be in such bad shape -- that would be pretty crushing I think.
