Mikasa Ackerman fanart. Best gril of Attack on Titan. I now have a decent drawing of her SnK's manga is my life force it's so damn epic
I like Mikasa's character; she's very strong but she remains grounded and true to her heart.

(Manga spoilers ahead)
I drew this picture thinking of the scene where she learns of Ymir's curse. She is hit with the realization that both Armin and Eren have less than 13 years to live. I'm pretty sure that it affected her very much.. so this is my depiction of how she feels while internalizing all of that.
Also, I'm really happy she's finally back in the manga (after a year)

Even though I drew her in her moment of weakness here, I decided to name this piece as it is because in my opinion, allowing yourself to feel and welcome emotions is a sign of strength. I personally think those who are able to freely express their emotions and have the ability to pick themselves up afterwards are strong people because it takes a lot to open yourself to others and become honest with your feelings.
The flowers in the drawing are called Gladiolus. Gladiolus symbolizes honor, strength of character, faithfulness, infatuation and the drive to never give up-- all perfectly describes Mikasa. The color red of the flowers symbolize love and passion-- feelings she deeply holds for Eren.
I always see Mikasa drawn showing her strength physically. That is why I wanted to do a different take that shows another side of her. I am happy to be able to draw Mikasa that shows her strength and honesty of both mind and character.
