atcually, younger Mello reminds me of this one Alan* (*Alanna) from Song of The Lioness. or maybe her twin bro. except they're red heads. but other than that, exact image.

I'm working really hard on drawing them because I noticed they really didn't look like them at all in the beginning and that worried me a lot
