Honestly, it's just patience. I have no real secrets when it comes to shooting bat photos. They're more active when it's cloudy or a bit cooler out. When it's too sunny or too hot, they generally just hang around and sleep a lot.

I would need to find out where some colonies are first. Only small, insectivore bats live in my region, not fruit bats.
