Description
This is the 81st piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Conspicuous.

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.

Why is this heart apparently conspicuous? Because conspicuous is bold, and bold is striking, vivid and hard to ignore. That's what this heart is. She wanted it to stand out, but she also wanted details like a wing imprint and a key dangling off the side to match the heart she had bought for herself just a month before this one. This one is for her best friend.
