This mechanical birdie is a very strange specimen! It was discovered today and it is said to be a more evolved model of mechanical birdie v.1.0 - 7 of these v.1.0 have been found to date, and this is the 8th bird to be found, but the first discovered specimen of it's kind - v.2.0.

He has been named "Diedrich" (pronounced Deed-rick) which translates to "first of the people" in Old High German.

Some clear observations of this newly discovered creature are it's much longer wings with panels, well pronounced tail feathers, much more three dimensional panelling, watch innards showing the contraption inside, and two auqamarine LED eyes that need no help to see from spectacles or goggles of any kind - his vision seems to be phenomenal.

He is made from polymer clay and has been antiqued with black acrylics to give a worn and greased look. Details are picked out in a bright Aztec gold against his Burnt Orange exterior, as well as his Antique Bronze Oxide wings. Yes, he stands by himself on two wire legs. How does he balance? Well, look at how his body is posed. The good old "center of gravity" rule helps him to stand with no problem.
