Hey guys! So, remember how I said I got a Wacom recently? Well here's something I made while learning how to use it
I've never used Wacom or SAI before, so I tried to start with something relatively simple. This still took me about 3 days between my work schedule and trying to figure out how to work this program ><; Still, even though I know this is simple and has it's flaws, I'm pretty proud of my first attempt ^_^ (Though I just realized I forgot to add windows to the building... Oh well! lol)What do you guys think? Critiques and advice are always welcome ^_^

It's pretty good for your first attempt!
Since I'm here, I'd love to give you some advice and critique.
You did pretty good on the lightning, but it would have been better when you'd have blended the colors and added more shades of yellow and green on the grass ( if that makes sense).
Also if you add light you should also add some shading, but don't use black, grey etc.(unless needed) When shading, use darker colors of the base colors and it will look much better(trust me)
The cliff would have looked a little better when it wouldn't be so flat. Maybe add some curves and turns and it would look much more realistic and better and maybe add some little details like rocks or something.
I really like how you did the sun and sky though. So thumbs up to that owo
Now..the building. ( I see you realized that you forgot the windows that's okay lol) Maybe it would have looked better if you added some more buildings.
Also the grass looks a little empty, maybe you could have added some trees next to the cliff so it looks like frisk would be higher up.
Frisk is nicely done, only the hair is a little spiky, but otherwise great job.
Wow that's a long comment, but uh...I hope I wasn't too harsh! Sorry if I offended you or anything. Anyways I hope I didn't make any grammar mistakes xD.

I see what you mean about the grass line, though it's supposed to be trees like in the pacifist ending so I'll have to remember to make that more defined next time I try a view like this ><; As for the cliff, a lot of people start their renditions of "Rolling Girl" with a cliff with that simple design. I'm glad you like the sunset and sky! I actually started this thinking "I've never done a sunset before, so I'll do that last" XD lol
And Frisk's was definitely a pain ><; It probably should be more rounded, but I guess I just like the messy look too much; I draw hair like that in my traditional art a lot too ><;

Anytime! I still struggle with the shading and lightning and the colors myself, but since I practice pretty much everyday, I have learned a lot. I have watched many tutoriels myself, but they didn't actually help me for some reason. References help a lot though, so I usually get inspiration from other artists. I hope I helped.

I've noticed that about the tutoriels as well lol Some of them aren't all that helpful for me either :/ References are always good though; I don't think it's a bad thing to be inspired by other artists
