Description A friend of mine writes a Naruto fan-fiction and I offered to draw a character design of his character(s). This one is Kasumi in her "Illumina Form" (the color one) and her regular form (the black and white one). She's half kitsune (fox), thus the ears and tail... I'm pretty proud of the end result, so I decided to put it up as a deviation.

I'm pretty pleased with it.

(In case you're wondering XD I used the same body that I originally drew for both of them. So basically I just drew the clothes on the body... yeah... that's why they're the same, basically But I think you knew that already...)

Kasumi is not my character, it belongs to Kenny, a friend of mine. And Naruto belongs to its respective owners as well (Masashi Kishimoto). But the art itself was drawn by me!

(P.S.! You can read Kenny's Naruto fanfic at: [link] Go check it out )

hey i know this sounds weird but i think either someone stole this picture from you not too long ago, or your friends with someone and they had a drawing notebook with your sketch in it. may i ask where exactly you live? sorry it sounds weird, i just know someone that showed me a notebook with this EXACT sketch in it.

O.o Huh? That's impossible. This wasn't drawn on real paper, I drew it in Open Canvas (the really old version, I love it for tablet sketching). As my main page says I live in Brooklyn, NY. This particular character however does not belong to me - as explained in the drawing's description. I simply designed it based on his instruction. He doesn't live in NY like me, and I don't really want to give out his information without permission but he's in the US.

If by "exact sketch" you mean a print of it, then that's no big deal. As long as they don't go around claiming they drew it. But if it was an actual drawing then it can't be "exact" unless they printed it out and traced it - and even then it wouldn't be exact. Even then, I don't mind if this person is learning from my drawings - I just hope they're not claiming it to be their own.

I don't really have to prove anything since I know this is my work But even so, I do still have the Open Canvas file that contains the picture in its separate layers - as well as the event file that can play a movie of how I drew it from start to finish.

I hope all that answers your question. ^^ If there's anything else, please let me know.

ah ok thank you very much. it does answer my questions, because i live in washington (state, not DC lol) and the sister of one of my friends showed me a sketch (hand drawn) of that exact picture, so she probably printed it and traced it, but she DID claim it as hers. sorry for bothering you. but hey, it shows people love your work enough to trace it out and say its theirs O_o

It's hers in the sense that she traced it, but nothing more If you see her again, please explain to her that she's not proving anything by copying other peoples work and passing it off as her own. When she's found out people will end up thinking less of her - plus she could get into trouble. As I said before it's fine to learn from other peoples work (I often traced and copied pictures in my younger years, but I never claimed they were completely mine), tracing is an excellent way to get a feel for a picture. So if that's the case, then I hope she gets better soon Sorry if I sound a bit severe... art theft is a big issue, even though I don't think this is that big a deal XD
