Description (background mostly traced, sorry, I'm not that good at them yet)

"The statue reminded me of those little statuettes depicting the six original bearers of the elements. I had firsthand experience with their special kind of magic, magic that enhanced abilities like intellect or strength. On closer inspection I was certain they were the same, telltale signs were the pristine state of the statue itself while the base was crumbling to dust in places.
I stepped closer, floating my spectacles up so I could better read the timeworn inscription, wondering what kind of pony soul would be kept inside such an old relic.
    'Be Better'"

-----------------------

After the elements had restored Equestria to a non-radioactive and tainted state, there was nothing to stand between those hungry for power in a recovering world, and a black book that could survive a megaspell. Not that the book was the only forbidden knowledge left behind by the war, but odds are Littlepip wouldn't want future generations to deal with something that could be removed now.

But how do you get rid of an indestructible soul jar?

The answer, wrap it in something to nullify any passive effects it would have on passersby, place it inside a sealed container (or a cast statue), and turn that into a soul jar. Littlepip never had the chance to do it herself, her friends had betrayed her one last time by sacrificing part of their souls in her stead once they learned of her plan. In doing so, portions of six souls disguised as one sits in a small village, its residents dedicated to make things better, to be better.

"If you can't find hope in the world, then BE the hope for others to aspire to be" my personal quote in life, that fit's Littlepip's legacy all so well.

If there was any lesson that the life and destiny of Littlepip of Stable Two teaches us it is this - We do not need to be the product of our worlds and of our circumstances. We can be choose to be the better pony and do the right thing even when everypony else chose to serve only themselves.

Thus it was that was born the Seventh Element of Harmony, the first born since legendary times.

The Element of Honour.

Littlepip uses the phrase all the time. I've never read the one with Blackjack so I wouldn't know, but this was a repeating element in the story with Littlepip.

Blackjack's motto would be "Be stupid" (I'm aroud ch 10, so I don't know, if this will change)

Sounds like Littlepips antithesis, though I'm guessing Blackjack isn't exactly evil. Never read that story yet so as to prevent contamination between stories.

It's not spoiler, if I say that fact, in those chapters, Blackjack often say about herself that, she isn't a smart pony, or she's a stupid pony.

It's better if everypony believes it's a fictional story, even if the Celestia computer is living evidence of the past.

Considering the horrors of that time I'm inclined to agree.

"Not that the book was the only forbidden knowledge left behind by the war"

While this was more myself covering my own behind, the original story mentioned that it is unlikely to be the only one of its kind, that copies could have been made. I'm also intentionally not going to reading the side stories until I'm done doing fanart for fallout equestria, sticking to what I remember of the original as best as I can (mostly what I was imagining while reading the story).

Subtle touch with the small cutiemarks of Pip's friends there. I can't make out two of them, but Derpy and Calamity's are easily visible...  I assume the others would be Homage and Velvet Remedy. And give you said six (I'm not including the book in it) means that Littlepip is there too, just not alone, which itself reflects much of the message from the story. Nicely done.

I was implying that, in reverse to what Rarity did (cut up her soul and disguise the parts as her friends and herself) I decided what would have happened is that Littlepip wanted to give her own soul up, but her friends gave parts of their own, put them together in the soul jar, and disguised them all as her. Symbolically she is both alone and together with her friends, the manifestation of sacrifice meant to spare Littlepip from her own virtue.

It was as bittersweet an idea as I could come up with, though flawed in how unnecessary it was, and how improbable.

The hardest part was tracing the background. It's not funny when a trace takes forever, it means that doing a proper job would probably take much longer.

Next time I'll just do a background in my style, hopefully I learned enough about Ponyville architecture doing this that I can make something which fits the theme.

I'm sure you'll do good. And don't be hard on yourself. Nothing good comes out of self doubt.
