Description My gosh, I have so much respect for the people who shoot flying insects now.

Before I shot this, I was beginning to run out of ideas of things to shoot. Then happened to notice that these plants were buzzing with activity...

So for what felt like a good fifteen minutes, I got down to the plants' level and attempted to take a picture of one of these guys with my sub-par camera.

Once I could manage to see one on the display (which was pretty hard -- they're tiny, and I was trying to zoom in a bit), I took a picture. This is the only picture that was actually in focus and didn't have a bee's abdomen pointed toward the lens.

Also, for those of you who don't know, bees and wasps are one of my biggest fears. During the times I wasn't looking like a dork trying to take a picture, I was running away. >>

All in all, I had fun.

*grins* That is an amazing story. And an amazing picture. This shows only one bee, which looks innocent enough, but I get a little nervous just imagining sitting among a swarm of pollen-drunk bees trying to get that one picture...
