Bleeding ink.

It's covering the page
making theraputic shapes.

I dont believe in self-injury.
Not as a way to solve problems.

But blood letting?
When my veins run with black and blue ink?

That's a medical practice
that should not have been dismissed.

When the pressure builds
under my skin

and my pulse is racing
at an unhealthy rate

I shall use my sharpest quill
and draw openings in my wrists.

The pressure will go down
as the words flow from my very veins.

No drugs or surgery needed
to solve my healthy heart's problem.

Give me a pen and a blank page.
I'll be my own physician.
