Description
This is dedicated to my mom, who has supported me for all these years.The girl, my portrayal of myself, leans on the strong tree for support. She sits there to avoid the sun's bright UV rays. The big tree stretches its branches to protect the girl, like a mother would protect her child.
The hole in the front (what else would you call it?) is the representation of My dad who used to be part of all of us. He "broke" off like a branch.

reference: the tree and background...but i can't find it at the moment... I only used it for the first 4 hours...and then....where did it go????
materials used: 2+ ballpoint pens....(they all died after this...gotta go shopping again)
time: SO LONG OMG!!! I SPENT SO LONG ON THIS PIC!!! (17+ hours)
editing: cropping out the carpet in the background, lighting up the pic a bit.
This picture took me about.....2 months (17+ hours) to finish. I suffered from impatience, annoyance, and frustration while working on this piece. However, I am quite satisfied with the finish....except the butterflies...I kind of messed up those butterflies....

Omg, this is such a wonderful piece!!! I love the way you compared your mother with the tree! Truly unique! But it's a shame your dad isn't there anymore... Dads have this nasty habit of disappearing...
Also your technique is also remarkable! I love the way you drew the leaves and the tree bark. And the background gives this feeling of peace and belonging! I can see that there are some letters in the smoke, coming from the chimney! Mom I
