I used to draw him when I was a kid , all the charachters in Cartoon land were practice for every kid I knew.
Eventually a drawing I did of Fred Flintstone was found by my mom , who gave it to a friend who was a Commercial Artist . Plans were made for me to go to Art School and I had absolutely no wish to sit at a table and sketch and be bored of doing the same thing over and over again ... So I took up Photography , I love being out doors , moving and being excited by what's around the corner ...
My Parents were pissed , Bigtime !
and , Yes ! I am Sorry I gave it up . When I didn't have to do it , Drawing was FUN ! Last thing I ever wanted was to land up at Disney sitting at a desk for the rest of my life ... but ! then , some like that .

Photography is fun though! You get to be outdoor... experience life, capture it as it passes you by. You get to live life and just be there as it occurs.
I don't blame you about art school though... lolol... a lot of people told me that I should go for it... but I can't. I wouldn't mind taking a class or two, here and there... but an art degree is a whole different story. I did take a quarter of painting- and believe, my instructor and I kind of clashed. Don't get me wrong, I adore my instructor for I did learn a lot from her, but all the same... I feel like, some people, have an idea what art should be and if you don't fall under that category, it isn't considered art. lol.
Nah... I love hearing babbling... I love hearing stories from others. ^.^

well Art Is Subjective(unless you're an Artist) to most . We all have our own ideas of what like /dislike means , what most don't understand , is what Good Art IS !
As a Retired Photographer I look to be doing , what I want to do these days . Having gone to College , done years of work that was Mediochre at best , because Customers consistently wanted to look just like ? have their Portfolio look just like ? Those Clients were Uneducated in what was available at that moment in time and the ones that were Educated were a real pleasure to work for .
So! don't feel any unease if some one that has an Authority in some thing Art related ruins your day . The world runs on change(in Nature) quickly and we never seem to notice until some thing makes us pay attention . Teachers rarely pay attention to Students who think outside the Box .
Sounds like you may be one of Us , you know !
Some one who can think for themselves ... if you know what an Outsider is , your in the Club .

Oh... my... thank you for thinking so! I've attended painting classes years ago... to give me a basic idea how it goes. As far as drawing goes.. I've been teaching myself how. If I do need tips... how to do certain things, you know... like how to draw a nose... I try to watch some youtube videos to give me an idea.

I have nothing against art instructors... they can be helpful...
But you know... my painting teacher and I... we kind of clashed.
I feel like she wanted me to paint the way she did... instead of having me develop my own style.
Anyways... I really am not hating on her... I really did learn a lot from here, in spite of that.

I totally agree! never listen when people say you should create art exactly alike others! the art world is meant to be creative, unique, and diverse. always follow your own path and do whatever feels right and enjoyable. ❤️

It is one thing to give helpful tips.. but still let people grow on their own.
Our difference is what make this world a lot more interesting.
