Description My latest knitting, truly warm and comfy... knitted with 8-sized needles in simple jersey and garter stitches. I mixed the techniques for this one: the body is made in 2 parts, quite traditionally, while the sleeves are knitted in the round.
I've realized, after trying both methods (1. knitting everything flat, then sewing all parts together---- 2. knitting everything is the round with next to no sewing) that I prefer the body in 2 parts (easier to make the desired shape and I hate circular needles ) and the sleeves knitted in the round (seamless feel on the arms, no itching because of a seam, seems to go quicker and I can knit it on double-ended needles).

When I saw this yarn, I was reminded of a campfire in Monument Valley, everyone wrapped-up in blankets admiring the sunset... sound a bit clichΓ©, but that's it

So pretty! I like the mix of warm brown colours and cooler blue and purple. It works well together

thanks a lot yes, the person who had the idea for this yarn is a genius and the blending when you knit gives a very balanced and natural result

So farbenfroh, das ist toll. Und praktisch. Wenn man mal kleckert, fΓ€llt es nicht sofort auf.

Leochi In reply to MoonyMina [2016-04-03 11:53:16 +0000 UTC]

Ah, so you've got a foggy day, which I'd rather have instead of the glaring sunshine we've got. (I tend to get migraines from too much light and sun and I'll admit that I quite like cold and rainy weather. *grins*)

MoonyMina In reply to Leochi [2016-04-03 12:06:36 +0000 UTC]

I can send you some of our fog, but it's filled with sand coming from Sahara, so it's quite yellowish...

I don't really like too much sun either, at least my skin doesn't what I prefer is a blue sky with some high clouds softening the light of the sun

Leochi In reply to MoonyMina [2016-04-03 12:34:19 +0000 UTC]

Haha, OK, so I think I'll pass. No sand for me, thank you very much.

My skin doesn't like sun, either. I've got an annoying condition that makes my skin itch and ache when exposed to sunlight.

I thought so that yellowish tinge makes everything look dirty, imo...

I can relate to that... I'm glad there are hats, shadow and 50-level sunscreen

Aw, poor you! That's so annoying, even with hats, shadow and 50 sunscreen. It's a drag to have to think about those things as soon as the weather starts to get warmer and sunnier.

MoonyMina In reply to Leochi [2016-04-03 15:36:48 +0000 UTC]

true but at the same time, I so often must think about it that I get less sunburns that the average people, it seems
