Description Hi all

This is the (finally) finished version of the Siren Lineart. Good grief, this took me FAR too long to complete, mostly because of laziness and reluctance to fix all the small irritating things that seem to go wrong. I started this pic before I had learned half the stuff I know now, but I didnt want to re-do it cos of the large amount of time and effort that had already gone into it. Yes, I know the hair looks crap, and so does most of the metal. But you'll just have to bear with me since I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to photoshop.

You'll also have to excuse the crappy background, I didnt feel like doing the full one that'll be part of the wallpaper.

My first lightsabers, they look OK, I'm happy with them!

There should be a wallpaper version coming soon, I just dont know HOW soon... T_T

Tried for a comic style, not too sure how close I got.

There are now a crapload of things that I want to change and fix. Does it always work that way or is it just me? T_T

thanks! It's supposed to be viridian, or silver-green, not the normal bright green. I think it was based on some of the colours you can get in Kotor. I sort of felt that I didnt do enough on the hair, but if you like it then thats always good

in kotor 2 there a couple abnormal colour you can get, like silver and so on.
i like the green reflection on the black hair

Why thank you. I hope to do better next time tho, there are so many things wrong with this picture that I didnt really want to fix it, I just want to do another of the character. This time in a more action filled pose with her legs visible

don't be so critical of it, this is a masterpiece trust me, i'm really critical of my own stuff and this just blows all of it out of the water

Sure, be happy to oblige. Just need more time. I have a list of ten pics I wanna do in order, and I'm now working on number 2. One of them is a SW pic, but I dont know when I'll get to it. I'll try my best

This would be one of your first runs with the tablet, right? Impressive.

Nice design and personal style with the way you create your body frames. It's different from the norm, which is good. Good job with the hair as well, as the shine is spot on for what you were aiming for. Not sure if it was intended or not, but I think you may have missed a spot for the red makeup on her bottom lip, unless if it's part of the highlighting from the saber glow? The lightsabers look great, btw. The one she's holding down near her waist though might look better, for the portrait as a whole, if it was inactive. It's just my personal opinion though, as I feel that the posing involved feels a little too relaxed for it to be switched on.

As for the background, I think there might be too much detail involved. It kinda takes away some of the detail you placed in her, so the easiest trick to solve that might be to just create an individual layer on top of the background, and fade until blending it with a colour layer of your choice.

There are already a thousand things that I want to change about this picture. It's going to be a wallpaper eventually, and I think that the version on the wallpaper might look rather different than this one.

The spot on the lip was intentional, since I thought that some green light from the saber would reflect on her glossy lips. This drawing has come a long way, literally, as I drew it in China and it still has a long way to go. At the moment I'm working on my character tho, which I think already looks a hell of a lot better than this. Least of all cos it shows her feet

Thank you! That's very high praise coming from you. I'm probably going to do all the PC's from our campaign, even the DM's N/PC. Maybe even a poster -like group shot. I hope to get a little better as I go along. I'd very much like to be able to colour like you one day.

I have the most trouble with wardrobe however. *sigh*

Thanks. I guess it would help to get the imput from the characters owners. Wow, I wish my campaigns were as regular as yours. Your blog is awesome.

I shall inspire more play time by rendering people's characters for them. Payment of sorts More like bribery

lightsabers are fun to do, and easier than I ever believed was possible.

Thanks! I dont have much personal experience with leather to help me render it, but there are handy tricks like using a leather texture. Unfortunately, the pic was too high rez for the texture to show much in the smaller version. Next time will be different.
