Description
This is a downloadΒ for my Spyro the Dragon model. You can see the model in use here:Β Spyro Looking Over a CliffHere is some useful information on the file:
It is a Blender file.
It is has a skeleton.
It has a mirror modifier.
The diffuse and normal maps are included.
It has an edge split modifier.
It looks good subdivided because it has edge creases.
You may use this model for whatever you wish, as long as you give credit to its original creator of the model (me).
I hope that this detailed model will serve as a great resource for Spyro fans.
I do not own Spyro the Dragon.

I love this model so much
Finally managed to slice and print it out as large as I could go, took a few days but was so worth it

Hey I would absolutely love if you could make this one into SFM. ;_; I really need myself a nice Spyro model now in honor of the reignited trilogy and all! Wanna make lots of posters of our favorite dragon.

Thanks for the Spyro model! I am making a Spyro game myself, with it's own story line and original characters (except for Spyro and Cinder)
I am mostly just downloading it for testing because I can't make my own models XD

This is amazing,but could you help me figure out how to open this in Blender? I just installed Blender today (been working with Maya some and thought I'd try blender)

May I ask a question, as I'm quite new to this model wise, what programs can you use him with?

This file can be opened in Blender. Once you've opened it you can go to File->Export. If you choose to export to .3ds you can open that file in 3D Studio. If you export it to .obj you would be able to open it in almost any other modelling program that supports importing files, though by doing so you loose a lot of the Blender specific functionality that the model has (like the subdivisions and the rigging). Oh, also you can use him in Garry's Mod, cause he's on the Steam Workshop.

Okay cause I used to try and make models for MMD which almost never worked but this sounds a lot harder. I imagine it'd be pretty time consuming too P: I was going to try and make this guy as an NPC that followed you around,

If I could make models, I would have created my own dragon, but I had hoped that someone would make Spyro.
Please tell me you use Source Filmmaker, because I so want this model. Because I can't make a Blender file into something usable in Source Filmmaker.

I agree with Nero1024. I thought Spyro would be better rigged so that he could handle more gestures than the basic "walkaround" movements. You know, brow movements, smirks, stuff like that. Makes me want to try improving him.

I admit I'm not the best a rigging. If you want to improve it, go ahead, that'd be great.

Nice! This model is pretty neat, but the rigging is pretty simple and could use some work (no IK, wings could have been rigged better). Overall this model is good!
Also have you heard of Blend Swap? I hear it's a great place to share .blend files.
